3. Purposes of data processing, legal bases and legitimate interests pursued by Unite Services GmbH & Co. KG as well as categories of recipients
3.1 Application
The Unite Careers Page is designed to attract new colleagues and keeps up to date with job postings. These job advertisements allow you to apply for a specific position via the "Submit final application" button using our application tool. Within this candidate tool, we collect the data required for the assessment and processing of your application. This data will only be stored, evaluated, processed or forwarded internally as part of your application. It is only accessible to Human Resources personnel and those responsible for the selection. Your data will not be used for any other purposes.

3.2. Talent Pool
As part of the application process, we will examine whether we can offer you admission to our talent pool. The admission takes place only with consent.
The Talent Pool is a database in which your applicant data is stored in order to be able to consider you directly at a suitable vacancy in the future. At this point in the application process, we would like to let you know about this opportunity and invite you to our Talent Pool.
In the event you were admitted into the talent pool, we have the right to delete your personal data according to the data protection act, provided that you do not update your data within 12 months.

3.3. Hiring
If you are hired after the application process, your data will be transferred to the personnel files.

3.4 Statistical purposes
The data may be used for statistical purposes (e.g., reporting). Thereby, it is not possible to have explicit conclusions regarding each and every specific individual.

3.5. Processed data categories
• Master data (e.g., name, date of birth, place of residence)
• Communication data (e.g., e-mail, telephone number)
• Career e.g., with CV, qualifications, degrees, professional experience
• Personal detail e.g., Cover letter, personal interests
• Other documents, recommended (at your discretion)
• If applicable, job references
• Other certificates, if applicable
You are not required to provide us with your personal data. However, the application process cannot be accepted unless you provide us with your appropriate information.

3.6. Legal basis
The data processing in the application process serves to initiate an employment relationship and thus takes place on the legal grounds Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 (1) BDSG.
Insofar as the data processing is based on a consent, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 a), 7 GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 (2) BDSG. This consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect in the future.
As far as personal data special categories according to. Art. 9 (1) GDPR, this serves as part of the application process the exercise of rights or the fulfilment of labour law obligations, social security law and social protection (for example, in the case of notification of the severely handicapped representative § 81 SGB IX). The legal basis is Art. 9 para. 2 b) GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 (3) BDSG.
Furthermore, data processing can take place from a legitimate interest. Such a legitimate interest in the investigation of crimes acc. Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR in conjunction with § 26 Abs. 1 S. 2 BDSG or when exchanging data for internal administrative purposes acc. Art. 6 para. 1 f of the GDPR.

4. Third Party

In order to fulfil our obligation, we make use of external service providers who process the applicant data on our behalf.

5. Deletion

After completing the application process, your details will be kept for the period in which claims can be asserted against us. Thereafter, the data will be deleted, as long as no inclusion in the Talent Pool has taken place.

6. Your rights

If the respective legal requirements exist, you have the following rights:
• Right to information about your personal data stored with us in accordance with. Art. 15 GDPR; in particular, you can provide information about the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been disclosed, the planned retention period, the source of their data, if not collected directly from you,
• Right to correct incorrect or correct data according to Art. 16 GDPR,
• Right to delete your stored data in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR insofar as no statutory or contractual retention periods or other statutory obligations or rights for further storage is to be observed,
• Right to the restriction of the processing of your data acc. Art. 18 GDPR, as far as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you reject its deletion; the person in charge no longer needs the data, however, you need it for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims or you have objected to the processing according to Art. 21 GDPR,
• Right to data portability acc. Art. 20 GDPR, i.e., the right to transfer selected data stored by us in a common, machine-readable format, or to request transmission to another person in charge
• Right to complain to a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or work or at our company headquarters.
• Right to object the general right of objection applies to all processing purposes described here, which are processed on the legal basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We are only obliged to implement your objection if there are overriding reasons which are only given under special situations.

7. Data security

All personal data submitted by you is transmitted using the generally accepted and secure standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and an automatically activated 128-bit encryption. SSL is a secure and proven standard, e.g., is also used in online banking. You will see a secure SSL connection, including the attached s at the HTTP (i.e., https: // ...) in the address bar of your browser or the lock icon at the bottom of your browser.
Incidentally, we use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your stored personal data against manipulation, partial or total loss, and against unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously being improved in line with latest technological developments.
